Bill's Story Bill grew up around racing, his grandfather Bull, terrorized local tracks for 30yrs. His dad Glenn started racing about the time Bill was born, and has won over 17 track championship's and over several hundred feature wins in several classes including late model, ump modified, hobby stock, and street stock division. Bill's uncle Chuck and aunt Joy also raced at one time. Bill just followed in their footsteps. Bill started racing in 1994 at Kokomo and Montpelier Speedway's in the hobby stock division. Bill won his first feature race that year at Kokomo Speedway, and had several top 3 feature finishes that year. Bill has driven hobby stocks, late model, ump modified, and street stocks in his career so far. In 2005, Bill will be running a camaro street stock for Sam and Linda Thompson, owner's of Thompson Trucking and Equipment. Hopefully we can start out 2005 the way we ended 2004. 2004 Stats 2004 started off a little slow, but picked up pace as the season went on. We finished the year with 13 feature wins - 6 at Kokomo, 4 at Montpelier, and 3 at Gas City. We also had 9 second place finishes and 6 third place finishes. We finished 4th or better in 33 out of 40 races. Won the last 3 races at Montpelier, and last 4 out of 5 at Kokomo, finished 2nd in the other. Many thanks to Sam Thompson, for putting me in a car capable of running up front each and every night! |
